ANI 118 - Spring 13 - 3D Animation

We worked on three different animations this semester.  The first one has to have "I love you" in the audio, and focus on upper body and acting only.  The second shot could use any audio, but had to focus on upper body and hands/arms.  The third shot could use any audio, and needed some big physical gesture in it.

My first shot is a girl saying "I love you," but she doesn't mean it.  Voiced by my friend Kristen Ridout.

My second shot is an old priest at a wedding.

My third shot uses audio from Antione Dodson's famous "Hide yo kids, hide yo wives" speech, but I turned it into a detective speech. :)

ART 123 - Spring 13 - Stop Motion

I had a great time with Professor Andrew Garcia.  One of our assignments this semester was to create a stop-motion animation.  I used cut-outs of my face and the lovely face of Alicia Keys (famous singer/songwriter).  This one was a little tricky, trying to plan out the animation so it synced with the music.
The music in this video is "Girl On Fire" by Alicia Keys, but sung by me.  All acapella.  :)

ANI 116 - Fall 13 - 3D Animation

Another class with the lovely Raquel Coelho.  This time I had more opportunity to play with acting, and more with physics.  These are two scenes I did in this class.

The first scene is a sequence shot, where our character's computer crashes on him.  This is the first shot in the sequence, animated by me.

This second shot was a dance.  I love dance.  I love contemporary dance.

ANI 115 - Fall 13 - 2D Animation

At the beginning of the semester, we pitched our story ideas for a 30sec 2D animation.  Mine, of course, was about singing. :)

We worked our way from pitches, to storyboards, to animatic, to character designs, to actual animation.  The first video is my final animation, and the second video is the original animatic that I did.

Male voice: Justin Llamas.  Female voice: Genis Llamas
